San Sebastian has carried off the title of ‘Best Global Food Destination’ according to a study made by the multinational Caterwings, beating the likes of Tokyo and New York.

The English company based its ranking on ten criteria, also comparing the 100 cities considered by tourists as the best places to eat. The quality of the products, the variety of food on offer, critics’ opinions and the availability of vegetarian options were some of the factors appearing on this list headed by San Sebastian.
