Myriad Basque festivals can be found throughout the year all over the Basque geography and are a reflection of the local culture. Some of those most worthy of note are the internationally famous fiestas of San Fermin with its Running of the Bulls, the Virgen Blanca, the Tamborrada drum parade and Bilbao’s Aste Nagusia or Big Week.

There are a great many festivities for the visitor to choose from. Most festivities have their own peculiar traditions; people dress in traditional Basque costume; music fills the streets and everyone has fun dancing and eating the delicious gastronomy.
