Hurtigruten Expeditions, a Norwegian cruise and expeditions company, has chosen Hagoos as its local partner to organize all the excursions during their stop in Pasaia port.
The “MS Fridtjof Nansen” boat arrived on Sunday April 23rd to Gipuzkoa to spend the day in the region. Although most of the passengers chose the guided City Tour to get to know San Sebastian and its gastronomy, many others decided to explore the capital’s surroundings visiting the coastal villages of Zumaia & Getaria or the Basque Highlands; where they were able to taste the unique Basque delicacies such as the Txakoli (white sparkling wine) or the Idiazabal cheese. The most adventurous passengers had also a perfect option for their stop: they hiked along the coast through “the cliffs route”, part of the St James Way.
The boat began sailing in Lisbon on April the 19th, stopping at some northern Spanish ports such as Ferrol, Gijon or Pasaia and kept on traveling along the French and Dutch coasts until its last stop at Hamburg, Germany. It carries more than 430 passengers with diverse nationalities.
The “MS Fridtjof Nansen” name honors the explorer, scientist and Nobel Peace Prize with this name.
